Google Friend Connect instantly awakens and strengthens the community that visits your site by enriching it with social features.
Anyone can join your site and discover other members by using information from a variety of services, including Google, Yahoo!, Twitter, AOL, orkut, and Plaxo, strengthening your community as visitors become members.
The Google Friend Connect plugin for Joomla CMS allows you, as a site adminitrator, to let your users to authenticate using their OpenID accounts and comment your content.
You can add a Google Friend Connect social bar, members gadget, site comments gadget, recommendations, interests poll, newsletter signup, featured content, and adsense in your site section of choice.

On the subway, I bump elbows with a guy for 20 city blocks without exchanging a single word. Forty-five minutes later, I find the same guy at the local guitar shop, and we start to talk — turns out he plays a Gibson Les Paul just like I do. We may have been strangers on the train, but in the guitar shop, we discover our shared passion for guitars.

The Joomla! Project has assembled a top-notch team of experts to form the new Joomla! Security Strike Team. This new team will solely focus on investigating and resolving security issues. Instead of working in relative secrecy, the JSST will have a strong public-facing presence at the Joomla! Security Center.
